Project Brief

We had a unique need at LevoAir – simplify and automate UAS pilot dispatch without compromising on their core value, SAFETY. Utilizing existing software within the company, we were able to create a customized solution that worked incredibly well for this growing team of professional pilots.

By focusing on automating small, repeating tasks that needed to be manually performed daily, we were able to actuate real efficiency improvements immediately after beginning the project. The UAS company is able to scale without waste or restricting silos, creating a frictionless path toward profitable scalability.

Automating UAS Pilot Dispatch

We dialed in on the 4 main software tools they were already using and set to work to create automations, reducing labor costs for the team. Below you’ll find both the software and tasks within each that we systemized, with the time savings noted on each.

The Tools They Used

Smart Suite

Project management database, used to store critical site data, schedule jobs, assign to pilots, etc.

  • Created a data sync between site data and flight schedule tables, ensuring proper waivers, SOPs, and coordinates were sent to each pilot day of job. Saved an estimated

Telegram

Communication platform used to communicate with all pilots.

  • Created a Telegram bot for pilots to message upon onboarding, creating a custom contractor number for flight log referencing Saved the team an estimated 10 minutes per pilot onboarding session.
  • Created a daily message send with all relevant information for each flight, including a link to the pilot’s Smart Suite Dashboard for SOP tracking. Saved dispatch an estimated 20 minutes per pilot.
